Garry's Mod!

Fri Jan 23, 2009, 9:06 AM
Weeeeeeee!

I finally purchased the new version of Garry's Mod, and have been having alot of fun with. Probably too much fun, to be honest.

But how can I resist making pointless scenes of extrodinary violence! If only I had the talent to come up with funny punchlines, I'd be. . . well, I don't know what I'd be. A guess funnier for one, but other than that. . .

Its funny how I always come up with ideas for long, serious comic ideas. . . and then just take a single screenshot and claim I'm finished.

I love your work. Though I have one question. How would the Russians let Ukraine split off especially considering their primary Black Sea Sevastopol would go with them?
:icondaemonofdecay:
Because Imperial Russia was under way to much stress at the time, with revolution and civil war throughout the nation. Not to mention the meddling Germans, who supported an independent Ukraine (but were not prepared for the Communists to take power there). So while they didnt want to loose it, they really had no choice when they faced revolts in all the major cities, etc. etc.

And yes, Russia is very keen on taking back its territory there.

I would certainly say so. Losing most of their Black Sea ports has to have been a major economic blow. So you would definately say that Imperial Russia is a bit unstable atm? I'm wondering wether Germany would support a communist Ukraine if the Russians did move in to regain the territory.
:icondaemonofdecay:
The Germans wouldnt directly support a Communist state, especially against another monarchy - look at how the European nations felt about the French Revolution for instance. But Germany does have an interest in keeping the Ukraine independent, because it helps keep Russia weak (and helps their Ally the Ottoman Empire).

But yes, Imperial Russia is very unstable in this area of time. Its basically only kept around because Germany supports the Tsar to keep other groups (such as Communists and Pro-Democracy forces) from taking power. Germany likes having a weak Russia, and doesnt want that to change for fear of a new enemy on their eastern border.

True. But realistically what are the odds that a strong Csar could emerge to strengthen the nation. That would destabalize the German-Russian relations. How are the Ottomans doing? I haven't seen any of your work on the middle east so have the Ottomans been able to hold together their empire from nationalism?

Good evening.

There is more to being a decent critic than saying you like or hate something. Challenge yourself to say which things you like about something you are judging/doing a critique on, or what about it you don't.

Hey, its me again, the guy you had the debate with on Europe 1933. But I have a question; hows the Asia map coming along? And are you going to make anymore alternative history scenarios?

You could do Video game and Anime scenarios if you really wanted to, but I plan to do something like that.

Thanks for listening.
:icondaemonofdecay:
I have the Asian map completely finished. Its been done for, oh, more than a month. I just havn't gotten around to uploading it or writing out what I am going to type.

But I think I'll upload it later today if possible.
