Description
Well this came about because I was just screwing around with Photoshop and, due to my Ottoman Empire AAR, was working with flags.
So I decided to create a flag that would be a possible and realistic option for an Ottoman Empire that had held onto most of its territory through the 17th, 18th, and 19th centuries and, much like Imperial Russia, had failed to modernize or liberalize its government.
And this isn't related to my Alternate History scenario from before, just in case there are any questions.
Thus while Turkish soldiers are fighting in the bloody conflicts of The Great War revolutionaries take to the streets in Istanbul late in 1917 protesting the war, the lack of food, and every other grievance they have with the government.
Sultan Mehmed V flees the city when it becomes obvious it is no longer safe for him there. Workers take up arms in every city as the troubles spreads, plunging the empire into a dangerous revolution.
