Ottoman Imperial Banner

This is another one of the flags I designed while working on my ongoing story 'The Sublime State' ([link]) about the Ottoman Empire. This one represents the banner that the Sultan would ride under while leading his army.

The design (bismillah) on the right comes from an old National Geographic magazine (sometime around 1920 I believe) describing the Imperial Banner. The original flag had just the bismillah on a field of red, and I felt that I could use it to replace the star to make the flag looking similiar to the normal Ottoman flag while also being unique.

I have a whole bunch of Ottoman/Turkish flags I worked up while doing that story (most of which will not be used, really) and am thinking about uploading more of them.
